Have MIT Researchers Achieved the Incredible?!

Maybe some good news for a change!

It would appear researchers at MIT have been using as their model of inspiration what plants do naturally in the way of photosynthesis to create energy.

By using photo voltaic solar panels homeowners could power their homes by day, while also drawing energy to split water into hydrogen and oxygen for storage. At night, the stored hydrogen and oxygen could be recombined creating a 'fuel cell' chamber to generate power while the solar panels are inactive.

So the question now is,  can we expect a practical scaling up for mass distribution anytime soon?

John, I absolutely LOVE it when scientists learn from nature and develop technologies like this. I remember when they figured out how to use the chemistry of the adhesive mussels use to stick to the bottom of a boat to develop adhesive for heart surgeries.

Oh god, couldn't we just progress, without the politics and corporate greed??

How right you are Ruth!

Its a real shame how so much potential continually gets lost by the system.

But what would it take to change the system?
I think to my mind Ruth, we need to #1) cleanup mainstream media which is by its very nature of monopolizing ownership is simply at odds with selling the truth!

And #2) clean up the rules that Congress operates under, including sweetheart kickbacks from lobbyists!

Yeah... right...!

I agree, and with the 'yeah, right!' too, unfortunately.
